White wall tyres?
What do you think?
I've always loved that 50's look of white wall tyres...
Wonder what it will look like on minilite wheels?
I think I will try and mock something up with some white insulation tape to have a look.

Some of my ordered bits arrived today
Still can't work on the car though due to the arm...

  • 4 auxiliary sockets - cigarette lighter type
(Two different kinds... still trying to find the correct one for the dashboard)
  • The extra cable I ordered
  • Door pin switches - the ones I bought might be a bit big.. need to check
  • Got a bulk supply of epoxy resin glue :)
  • More aluminium sheet arrived (2mm and 6mm)
  • A replacement light switch

Ordered some more vinyl to play with :)
Black this time - for the centre console.
I've also ordered some of the red piping material that MirrorTrim use on their seats etc

Started to work on the dashboard vinyl today
I have to say that it is a bit more difficult than I expected!
Seemed to come out quite well on the first bit I have done - Have a look in the interior section.
Actually covering the main dashboard is not something I'm looking forward to, the only consolation is that I have enough vinyl to cover it 3-4 times so if I make a cock-up I still have some to try again. :)

Ok... Just about finished covering the main body of the dashboard
Check out the pictures by following the 'Dashboard' link
I'm REALLY pleased with myself now... it seems to have come out quite well despite me never ever having done anything like this before
It just shows that you never know what you can do until you try! :)
As it's just about midnight I will leave the dash overnight and cut the holes for the switches etc tomorrow.

Next I will need to think about removing the gauges from Sally's current dashboard so I can get everything wired up and hopefully will be able to just drop the dashboard in when the time comes.
Sounds easy doesn't it? I doubt that it will be :)

Spent a while cutting all the holes out for the switches etc from the dashboard (check out the pictures)
I have also fitted a couple of the switches etc that I had previously bought as replacements.
